What You Can Eat/Drink on the Low Calorie Phase of the DIY Diet Plan

DIY Lose Weight Fast Diet Plan

Listed below are the protein, vegetable, fruit and starch items that are allowed on the low calorie phase of

the DIY Diet Plan. This fast weight loss diet plan typically results in a weight loss of 20-30 pounds in

about a month and requires taking weight loss drops in conjunction with following the specific eating

plan as outlined below, as well as, avoiding the use of products that contain oil on your skin.

Make sure to vary your diet drops plan selections throughout the week so that you can take advantage of

all the vitamins, minerals and flavors each of these nutritious foods has to offer!

The DIY Diet Plan

Breakfast:

Tea or coffee without sugar. Only one tablespoon of milk (any milk except whole milk) allowed in 24 hours. Saccharin (Sweet ‘N Low) or approved brands of stevia* may be used.

Lunch:1. Protein: 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp*. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna**, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed.

2. Vegetable: (Only one type of vegetable per meal): spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, or cabbage.

3. “Starch”: One Grissini breadstick* (breadstick Grissino) or one Melba toast (rectangle) or two Melba snacks (rounds) (approved flavors)

4. Fruit: An apple or a handful of strawberries or one orange or one-half grapefruit

Dinner:The same four choices as lunch.

NOTE: Vegetable serving size – although mixing vegetables (eating more than one vegetable type at a meal) is not allowed, green vegetables can be eaten in an unlimited quantity while you are eating your protein. However, you may want to limit tomatoes and onions as they do cause some people to stall.

*Products available at DIYDietStore.com including pre-portioned meat and seafood.

**Through testing/research, we found that tuna packed in water also works very well . We believe Dr. Simeons did not allow tuna because in the 1950s, it was only packed in oil. However, now that it is packed in water, eating tuna seems to get the same weight loss results as the other listed proteins.

Seasonings and Spices on the Low Calorie Phase of the DIY Weight Loss Plan

  • The juice of one lemon is allowed daily.
  • Salt, pepper, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, and basically any “natural” or “pure” spice may
be used. Watch for hidden ingredients like oils and sugars in pre-packaged spices and seasoning
blends as these can dramatically slow your loss. (Simple Girl Seasonings, the brand that we carry
on DIYDietStore.com, are allowed since they are made with pure spices and contain NO sugars,
    oils or starches.)
  • NO oil, butter, dressings, condiments (except DIY diet-safe, i.e., Simple Girl Salad Dressings,
Simple Girl Hot Sauce and Simple Girl Carolina Style BBQ Sauce), again, the Simple Girl brand
was designed to be used on Dr. Simeons and similar diets that do not allow for sugar, oil, fillers,
    etc.

Drinks on the Low Calorie Phase of the DIY Weight Loss Diet

  • Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water are the only drinks allowed, but they are allowed in any
quantity and at all times. To add flavor and still be in compliance, try some of the flavored SweetLeaf stevias: double chocolate, lemon, hazelnut, English toffee, and berry, to name a few.
  • You should drink about 2 liters of water per day, not including tea and coffee.
  • Drinks can be sweetened with saccharin (brand name Sweet ‘N Low) or DIY diet-safe brands of
stevia, such as Sweet Leaf. Word of Caution: Many brands of stevia have fillers that are
derivatives of sugar, which should be avoided during this phase of the diet plan.
  • You may also use your allowed 1 TBSP of milk per day to enhance your coffee or tea.
